The Music
Love & Appreciation to our Musicians!
Hot jazz and blues from the 1920’s, 1930’s and beyond. Formed in the Fall of 2009, the Bathtub Gin Serenaders came together through a shared love of pre-WWII hot jazz and early blues. The band plays classics from The American Songbook, plus original and contemporary tunes inspired by the era.
Members include Lawrence Newcomb, Chari Washboard Weatherford, Eric Von Radics, Mari Simone, Adam Gill and Simon Chrisman.
Band du Pays Swing is a five-piece Ashland, Oregon-based swing band featuring playful, danceable renditions of jazz classics from the 1920s through the 1980s in a mix of East and West Coast Swing styles. We fashion danceable arrangements of some of the finest melodies ever written, and enjoy creating a strong connection with a wide range of people in the Rogue Valley. Our lead singer Kaitie Warner is fabulously skilled at shaping songs with amazing energy, pitch, and clarity. We often see folks in our audiences singing along. With the recent reemergence of swing music, we’re finding younger generations also are drawn to what we do in a big way.
The Rhythm Kings started swinging more than 30 years ago. Throughout all these years, they have never lost sight of the roots that made them a long time Rogue Valley favorite . Fronted by David Pinsky on guitar and Phil Newton on harmonica, both sharing the vocal leads, they are joined by the swinging beat of long time drummer, Mark Stever, bassist Gary Davis and Rico Salas on sax. The Kings have performed throughout the Northwest at festivals, clubs, wineries and many other venues sharing their swinging tradition with all who gather.
